Sophie Bevin, BSc (Hons) Ost. Med.

I studied Osteopathic Medicine full-time for four years at the Surrey Institute of Osteopathic Medicine, gaining a BSc Honours degree.

I also completed my initial Cranio-Sacral Therapy training with the Upledger Institute, which I find especially useful when people are in a very delicate state or feel anxious about physical therapy for any reason.

To date I have treated patients from 11 days to 88 years old and enjoy treating children, allowing them to feel safe in a clinic environment. I treat people of all ages using a mixture of direct, restorative and preventative techniques as I deem appropriate for each individual.

My aim for my patients is to address the source of pain or discomfort and then influence the factors which lead to it happening, that is, to prevent it from happening again.

I can give advice on diet, nutrition, ergonomics, stress management and stretching and strengthening exercises.

What I enjoy most about Osteopathy is how it has the potential to improve health in so many different ways, for example via improved blood circulation and lymph drainage to the effect on digestive organs via the function of the nervous system.

I am registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC), which has a very strict code of ethics for its members to adhere to and only allows professionally trained practitioners on this government regulated register.

If you have any questions about how Osteopathy could help you, you can call me on 07836 746855 or send me an email.

I work in Leicester on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the Absolute Health Clinic. Click here for more details about this clinic.
